Brand Identity Development

For nearly two decades Ultimate Windows & Doors has been supplying and installing quality windows and doors throughout the Maritimes.

Client Brief

When Ultimate Windows, Doors & More approached me they were already an established, reputable business with nearly 20 years of top-notch products and services. They were simply looking for an update. Their old ‘logo’ was dated and featured a piece of clip art that was not the easiest to translate across a wide variety of applications. They wanted something clean that would better represent them as being a leader in their industry.

Our Approach

In an attempt to keep a touch of ‘the old’ in the new identity, the “U” is actually the same typeface as in the original logo. We made the decision to slice it, as well as the updated wordmark, horizontally to add some interest and mimic some of the shapes found within window panes. The colours were changed from a forest green and light blue to a clean black and gold to better represent their stellar craftsmanship and ‘high-end’ client base.

The Result

The result was a drastic change: a cleaner, more-modern approach and an outcome which we all felt better represented their business!
