💳 Booking & Payment
- All sessions are considered booked only once the required payment has been received.
- Standard Family & Couple Sessions require a 50% non-refundable deposit to reserve your date, with the remaining balance due on or before the day of your session.
- Mini Sessions require payment in full at the time of booking. Due to the limited number of time slots available, a Mini Session time cannot be held without payment.
📅 Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Deposits and Mini Session payments are non-refundable.
- For Standard Sessions, reasonable notice is appreciated if you need to reschedule. Your deposit may be transferred to a new session date when adequate notice is provided.
- Mini Sessions take place on specifically scheduled dates and have very limited availability. If you are unable to attend your scheduled Mini Session, your booking may be transferred to another person with advance notice, but cannot be transferred to another Mini Session date or applied toward a Standard Session.
⏰ Arrival & Late Policy
- Please plan to arrive 5–10 minutes before your scheduled session so that we can get started on time.
- For Standard Sessions, late arrival may reduce the amount of photography time available.
- Mini Sessions are scheduled back-to-back and cannot be extended for late arrivals. Your session will end at its originally scheduled time regardless of arrival time. Arrivals that are too late to reasonably complete the session may be considered a missed appointment and are not eligible for a refund.
🌦️ Weather & Rescheduling
- Outdoor photography is naturally dependent on the weather, and conditions will be monitored leading up to your session. Sessions may still proceed in reasonable conditions such as cool temperatures, cloud cover, or light wind.
- If FireWing Media determines that weather conditions are unsuitable or unsafe for photography, your session will be rescheduled at no additional charge.
- For weather-related Mini Session cancellations, a replacement Mini Session date will be provided whenever possible. If you are unable to attend the replacement date, your payment may be applied toward a future FireWing Media family photography session.
📸 Session Experience
Family photography should feel relaxed, natural and enjoyable. I’ll provide direction when it’s helpful while leaving plenty of room for genuine interaction and personality to come through.
Standard Sessions allow more time for different groupings, locations, poses and candid moments.
Mini Sessions are intentionally shorter and more structured. I’ll guide the session to make the most of the available time, but the number of poses, groupings and variations will naturally be more limited.
While every effort will be made to capture a great variety of photographs, specific poses, expressions or individual images cannot be guaranteed—particularly when photographing young children or pets.
👨👩👧👦 Group Size
Standard Family Sessions include up to 5 people, with additional family members welcome at $10 per person.
Mini Sessions are limited to a maximum of 5 people per booking. This limit allows enough time to comfortably photograph everyone within the shorter Mini Session format. Groups larger than 5 cannot be accommodated during Mini Sessions and should book a Standard Family Session instead.
Pets are always welcome and do not count toward the group total.
🖼️ Image Selection & Delivery
Following your session, the best photographs will be individually selected and professionally edited to create your final gallery. The total number of delivered images may vary depending on the session and the photographs captured.
Final images are delivered electronically in a high-resolution digital gallery and include personal printing and sharing rights.
Unedited or RAW photographs are not provided. Copyright to all photographs remains with FireWing Media.
🚫 Missed Sessions
If you are unable to attend your session, please provide as much notice as possible.
Missed sessions and no-shows are non-refundable. This is particularly important for Mini Sessions, where a specific time has been reserved exclusively for your family and generally cannot be filled on short notice.
📷 Photographer Cancellation
In the unlikely event that FireWing Media is unable to provide your session, every reasonable effort will be made to arrange a suitable replacement date.
If a replacement cannot be arranged, any payments made toward the affected session will be refunded in full.
❤️ A Note About Kids, Pets & Real Life
Kids don’t always smile on cue. Pets don’t always sit still. Sometimes somebody needs a few minutes to warm up – and that’s completely okay.
Please don’t worry about arriving with a family that’s ready to perform perfectly for the camera. The goal is to capture your family as you are, and some of the best photographs often happen in the moments between the ones we planned.
Come ready to spend a little time together, and I’ll take care of the photographs.

By booking a Family, Couple or Mini Session with FireWing Media and submitting the required payment, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the Session & Booking Information outlined above.
